What We Do
MACH Strategic Priorities 2018-2021
Meaningfully engage in reconciliation
MACH will work with our Members and partners to develop and implement ways of meaningfully engaging in reconciliation, with the development of a plan to support ongoing reconciliation and moving from reconciliation and reconciliACTION.
Increase the awareness of community health centres and the value of community health as a model of care
MACH wants to get better at telling our story. This includes research that explains the impact of CHCs, strong communication tools and plans, and engaging with our stakeholders around the benefits of a community health approach. MACH will also continue advocacy & awareness raising at all levels of government as aligned with MACH’s vision and mission.
Support a strengthened response to addictions and mental health
MACH wants to see a better response to addiction and mental health, particularly in a way that recognizes the effect of poverty, racism and colonization. This includes MACH member responses working toward improved harm reduction within CHCs, as well as MACH’s influence/encouragement of positive change in the larger health system. Strengthen internal communications, infrastructure and the organizational health of MACH
MACH will strengthen our internal organizational health and sustainability by improving the financial health of the organization, sustaining organizational support and operations, and improving capacity among MACH membership.
